Mr. America Athletic Competition

Mr. America® 2016 All American Sports Festival™ to Feature Athletic Competition for Men, Women and Teens with over $21,000 in Cash Prizes

 

Competition will be comprised of 11 events that will test athleticism, skill, stamina and physical fitness.

The Mr. America® 2016 All American Sports Festival™, scheduled for July 1 and 2, 2016 at Six Flags America, outside of Washington, D.C., will feature an Athletic Competition for male and female athletes, ages 13 years and older. The Athletic Competition will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 noon on Saturday, July 2 at the Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, MD and will include monetary prizes for top competitors. Check-in and registration for the event will be held from 7-8:30 a.m. at the field. Registration fee is $50 per person. The Athletic Competition, which is separate from Mr. America’s PRO/AM Bodybuilding/Physique Competition, will be supported by a team of world famous, elite athletic trainers including Boyd Epley, founder of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) who is serving as our Athletic Competition Grandmaster.

This competition will include the following 11 events: Plie Squats, Pull-ups, Vertical Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Football Target Throw, Zig Zag Run into Power Sled Push, Kettle Bell Seated Rope Pull, Push-ups, Soccer Ball Kick into Goal, Core Test and a Final Run (approx. 200 meters or ½ lap.)

Over $21,000 in Monetary prizes will be awarded to the competitors, based on overall combined scores, in each the following categories/age groups: Men’s – Overall, Ages 18-29, Ages 30-39, Over 40; Women’s – Ages 18-29, Ages 30-39, Over 40; and Youth – Male Ages 13-17 and Female Ages 13-17. Prizes range from $250 – $3,000.
